Built and sent in by one of our members
One of our Brick Club subscribers built the Yamaha MT-10 SP and sent a photo. The 42159 is a licensed replica of the SP livery variant (the yellow and gold version), and at 1,478 pieces it is one of the more focused builds in the library rather than the biggest.
The inline-4 engine with working pistons is the real reason to build it. The chain drive connects the engine to the rear wheel, so as the wheel spins the pistons fire. Front fork suspension, rear shock absorber, working steering, and a kickstand round it out.
Watch the pistons fire as the rear wheel spins. The chain drive is visible and correct, and the inline-4 layout matches the real bike’s engine position. This is one of the newer licensed Technic bikes and the build quality shows it.

Not the biggest kit in the library but the detail level is high for its size. The engine bay is visible and correct, the chain drive is a lovely touch, and it builds faster than the larger models. Good choice if you want something with real mechanical interest that you can finish in a weekend.
This is exactly why I like putting member builds on the blog. The official images tell you what a kit is supposed to look like. Member photos show what it feels like once someone has actually sat down, opened the bags, and worked through it.
If you have just finished Yamaha MT-10 SP, send over a few photos. It does not need to be a full studio setup. A clean table, a finished build, and a few notes on what stood out are enough.
