LEGO Technic McLaren Formula 1 Race Car (42141)
The McLaren Formula 1 Race Car (42141) came out in 2022 as the first LEGO Technic F1 car built to official current-season specifications. It captures the 2022 regulations car in papaya orange and black, with accurate front and rear wings, a correct nose cone, and a working DRS flap on the rear wing.
At 1,432 pieces this is manageable for a weekend afternoon rather than an entire weekend. The build starts with the floor and suspension uprights, then up through the side pods and engine cover to the bodywork.
For members who are into F1, this pairs well with the Ferrari SF-24, the Red Bull RB20, and the Aston Martin AMR25. The 2022 car is the oldest in the set but the proportions hold up well, and the papaya orange is still one of the best liveries in the collection.
The McLaren 42141 is available on both plans. Email garreth@brickclub.uk to ask about availability alongside the other F1 sets.
